Last year I had hoped for a 2000lb pumpkin and a jacket but things did not work out as planned so this year is going to be the year. I did earn my growers jacket last year and plan to add a couple of patches to it this fall. Next week is my planned start date so it’s time to get some work done in the patch. This one is a 2222 Gienger cross at about 27 dap and it hasn’t slowed the big one down at all. Last week the temperature was 90 degrees with over an inch of rain, so maybe it even saved it from popping.   Monday, September 2 View Page The 2465 Sperry is still growing and getting a little more color.   Monday, September 2 View Page This is my 2222 Gienger X 2560 Gienger that I pulled the plant because of two huge splits in the main vine(both were my fault). I do have another pumpkin currently on there that is crossed with my Sperry   Monday, September 2 View Page My 2342 Stelts that replaced the 2222 was approximately two weeks behind the others when main vine broke right before pollination.
